CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) –Thousands of students are enjoying the last weeks of summer and preparing for back to school. Many do not have families who have the money to pay for all the supplies.
Belinda Cantu grew up relying on assistance from the Salvation Army for school supplies. She went on to start the nonprofit “Kids Helping Kids,” which is program that encourages children to gather school supplies for their peers who need it most.
This year the drive will benefit over 30 students currently staying at the Salvation Army.
